All relevant units:

To promote economic and trade cooperation and technological exchanges between China and Russia in the field of engineering machinery, further explore and consolidate the Russian market, and expand the export of products such as engineering machinery, construction machinery, mining machinery, and engineering vehicles, our council will continue to organize domestic enterprises to participate in the International Construction and Engineering Machinery Exhibition held in Moscow, Russia in May 2024. Relevant enterprises are invited to seize this opportunity to participate in the exhibition, display and promote their latest technologies and products, and strive to enter the Russian market with more products. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

I. Exhibition Introduction and Market Situation

The International Construction and Engineering Machinery Exhibition (CTT RUSSIA) in Russia is the largest international engineering machinery exhibition in Russia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Since its establishment in 1999, the exhibition has been held annually and has successfully completed 21 sessions. The 2024 exhibition covered an area of 119,000 square meters, with 1,052 exhibitors from 14 countries, and 69,316 visitors from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries. The Chinese exhibition group remained the largest international exhibition group in the exhibition, with more than 700 participating units.

China and Russia are each other's largest neighboring countries and are both rapidly developing emerging economies. There are incomparable favorable conditions for deepening cooperation. In 2022, the bilateral trade volume between China and Russia exceeded 190 billion US dollars for the first time, reaching a record high. China's "the Belt and Road" initiative and Russia's Eurasian Economic Union strategy are highly compatible, providing a good opportunity and geographical advantages for the two countries to expand cooperation in infrastructure construction. Since this year, affected by the Russia-Ukraine war and Western sanctions, Russia's trade with China has increased by up to 99% year-on-year, with a 73% increase in July data. Coupled with the expectation of post-war reconstruction, compared with the decline in Sino-European and American trade, Russia can provide a relatively good demand growth market for domestic foreign trade enterprises within a certain period. According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, in the first seven months of 2023, the bilateral trade volume between China and Russia expanded to 134.1042 billion US dollars, a significant increase of 36.5% compared with the same period last year. Among them, China's exports to Russia amounted to 62.5449 billion US dollars, an increase of 73.4% year-on-year.
